🇳🇱Residentie Erasmusproject in Parijs en première “Stip it”* in ‘t festival 2Turven hoog** achter de rug! Bijgekomen en in Italië aangekomen. In het zonnetje met uitzicht op het meer. Op de agenda P.A.L.*** 2019: Brainstorm en organisatie. Het belooft een mooie tweede editie te worden. Zin in!!!

🇫🇷Revenue de ma résidence Erasmus à Paris, eu ma première de "Stip it”* durant le festival 2Turven Hoog**! Arrivée en Italie. Au soleil avec vue sur le lac. À l'agenda P.A.L.*** 2019: Brainstorm et organisation. Cela promet d'être une belle deuxième édition. J’ai hâte!!!

🇬🇧Came back from my Erasmus residency in Paris, premiered with "Stip it”* during the festival 2Turven Hoog**! Arrived in Italy. In the sun overlooking the lake. On the agenda
P.A.L.*** 2019: Brainstorm and organisation.
It promises to be a nice second edition.
Am looking forward to it!!!

🇳🇱 Ben Anne-Beth gaan opzoeken op de hele interessante en belangrijke biënnale “Premières rencontres” * in een banlieue van Parijs. Alles rond hedendaagse kunst en podiumkunsten voor een zeer jong publiek en hun begeleiders.
Zij was daar al tien dagen aan het onderzoeken, dansen in crèches en aan het brainstormen met de kunstenaars groep waarmee ze nu een tweejarig Europees uitwisselingstraject** aan het doen is. Daar kwam ik het artikel 31 uit de conventie van Verenigde Naties tegen: Het recht op spel en kunst beleven van kinderen (zie foto).
Daar besefte ik, wij zijn actoren van dit fundamentele recht! Ooit droomde Ik van dokter te worden. Maar kunstervaringen creëren is een krachtig geneesmiddel of sterker nog preventie middel, een manier om onze volledige zelf te ontplooien, te kunnen groeien, te ontdekken en tevredenheid te beleven.
Als ik naar mezelf kijk nu en toen ik klein was hebben dans en zang mij voldoening, groei, eigenheid en een uitlaatklep gegeven.

🇫🇷 J’ai suis allée rejoindre Anne-Beth à la très intéressante et importante biennale “Premières rencontres” * dans une banlieue de Paris. Tout sur l'art contemporain et les arts de la scène pour un très jeune public et leurs accompagnateurs.
Elle y fait une recherche artistique depuis une dizaine de jours, dansant dans des crèches et en faisant du brainstorming avec le groupe d'artistes avec lequel elle fait un projet d'échange européen de deux ans **.
Là je suis tombée sur l'article 31 de la convention des Nations Unies: le droit de jouer et de vivre des expériences artistiques des enfants (voir photo).
Je me suis réalisée que nous sommes des acteurs de ce droit fondamental! Autrefois je rêvais de devenir médecin. Mais créer des expériences artistiques est un médicament puissant ou encore mieux un moyen de prévention, afin de développer tout notre être, de grandir, de découvrir et d’être satisfait.
Quand je pense à moi maintenant et quand j'étais petite, la danse et le chant m'ont donné du plaisir, m’aident à grandir encore aujourd’hui, de découvrir mon authenticité et m’ont donné le moyen de m’échapper quand il le fallait.

🇬🇧 I went to join Anne-Beth at the very interesting and important biennial "Premières rencontres" * in a suburb of Paris. All about contemporary art and the performing arts for a very young audience and their caretakers.
She has been doing artistic research there for ten days, dancing in nurseries and brainstorming with the group of artists with whom she is doing a two-year European exchange project **.
There I came across Article 31 of the United Nations Convention: the right to play and to participate in artistic life of children (see photo).
I realized that we are actors of this fundamental right! Formerly I dreamed of becoming a doctor. But creating artistic experiences is a powerful medicine or even better a means of prevention, in order to develop our whole being, to grow, to discover and to be satisfied.
When I think of myself now and when I was little, dancing and singing gave me pleasure, helped me growing up even today, to discover my authentic me and gave me a way to escape when needed.

Paesaggio.art.Landscape: A year ago...a year to go

🇳🇱 Precies een jaar geleden waren we midden in de zonnige week van ons festival Paesaggio.Art.Landscape in de heuvels van Piemonte (IT). Vandaag regent het er pijpenstelen. Zo is het dus met ons werk altijd; maanden voorwerk, focus, geld en creatief vakmanschap. Maar dan moet de magie nog steeds opereren: het goede moment, op de geknipte plek en voor het juiste publiek!

🇫🇷Il y a exactement un an nous étions au milieu de la semaine ensoleillé de notre festival Paesaggio.Art.Landscape dans les collines du Piémont (IT). Aujourd'hui, il y pleut des cordes. C'est comme ça que fonctionne notre métier; des mois de préparation, de concentration, d'investissement financier et créatif. Mais alors la magie doit encore agir: le moment propice, au bon endroit et pour le juste public!

🇬🇧Exactly a year ago we were in the middle of the sunny week of our festival Paesaggio.Art.Landscape in the hills of Piedmont (IT). Today it is raining cats and dogs there. That is how it works. Months of preparation, focus, money and creative craftsmanship. But then the magic still needs to operate: the right moment, on the right place and for the right public!

Bologna, de open ruimte - l’espace ouvert - an open space

🇳🇱Dit weekend was ik op een Small Size*/Assitej* netwerk meeting in Bologna tijdens festival in la Baracca*.
We hebben samen gedanst, om elkaar te leren kennen. Om verbinding te zoeken. Een stap om te definiëren wie we zijn. Dat is wat de dansers in ons doen, de taal die we het best verstaan. De taal waarin verschillen en overeenkomsten direct blootgelegd worden. Ik bevond me in een bont internationaal gezelschap van makers voor de allerkleinsten, collega’s. Buiten sneeuw, binnen opgewarmde lichamen, klaar om een plan van aanpak te ontwikkelen om de wereld te laten weten wie we zijn en hoe we de dingen willen. Een intens samenzijn.Één ding wat ons verbindt is het werk, de open ruimte die deze creëert om samen te beleven, maar ook de open ruimte die het nodig heeft om te bestaan!

🇫🇷Ce week-end, j'étais à une rencontre du réseau Small Size*/Assitej* à Bologne pendant un festival à la Baracca *.
Nous avons dansé ensemble pour apprendre à nous connaître. Pour chercher une connexion. Une étape pour définir qui nous sommes. C'est ce que le danseur en nous fait, la langue que nous comprenons le mieux. La langue dans laquelle les différences et les similitudes sont immédiatement exposées. C’était un groupe international et coloré de créateurs pour les tout petits, mes collègues. Dehors, il y avait la neige, à l'intérieur des corps chauffés, prêts à développer un plan d'action pour faire savoir au monde qui nous sommes et comment nous voudrions les choses. Un rassemblement intense. Ce qui nous relie est le travail, l'espace ouvert qu'il crée pour vivre des choses ensemble, mais aussi l'espace ouvert dont il a besoin pour pouvoir exister!

🇬🇧This weekend I was at a Small Size*/ Assitej* network meeting in Bologna during a festival in la Baracca*.
We danced together to get to know each other. To seek connection. A step to define who we are. That is what us dancers do, the language that we understand best. A language in which differences and similarities are immediately exposed.I was in a colourful international company of theatre makers for small people, my colleagues. Outside it was snowing, inside warm bodies, ready to develop a plan of action to let the world know who we are and how we want things. An intense gathering. The one thing that connects us is the work, the open space that it creates to live together, but also the open space it needs to exist!
